Leadership Development

Leadership encompasses all of the 100’s Four For the Future programs that ignite mentors, mentees and community leaders worldwide.

The 100 Black Men of Jackson, Inc.’s leadership empowerment focus develops leaders that are prepared and equipped to address critical issues facing communities throughout the world.

Members engage in initiatives to improve the effectiveness and impact of 100’s programs, while delivering civic engagement throughout Jackson.

Mentoring

The 100 Black Men of Jackson, Inc. chapter continues to encompass the core mission of the organization by improving the quality of life within our communities through mentoring the youth of the city. Our members are encouraged to continue the tradition of maintaining the stance of “We Lead to Serve…We Serve to Lead.”

Our funded programs continue to strengthen the fundamental stance of what makes the organization’s mark on the community. With over twenty-six years of experience implementing programs that address the needs of our youth and the community being served, the organization emphasizes the building blocks of its commitment in the areas of Mentoring, Health and Wellness, Education, Economic Empowerment and Leadership and Diversity.

Our members have dedicated their time and energy into serving the young men in Jackson Public Schools to demonstrate a strong leadership module for their mentees to emulate in the future.

Economic Development

Economic Development, meeting the challenges that face our community head on and building a better united front, is a focal point for the 100 Black Men of Jackson, Inc. Our programs are structured to encourage our community to prosper. Our members demonstrate this belief by strengthening the idea of leading within their community while serving those they lead. In turn, the message will continue for generations by instilling these principles in our community’s youth.

Health and Wellness

Health and Wellness are important pillars in the 100 Black Men of Jackson, Inc.’s commitment to the community’s positive strength and development. We remained focused on securing healthy growth of our people.

With the contributable donations from St. Dominic Health Services, we could continue to fund our beneficial Aquatics Program in the summer of 2017.

Our swimming instructors taught 300 youths how to swim over a two-month period. They also rendered swimming lessons to adults.
Members, Mentees and Guests enjoyed playing basketball, volleyball, football and badminton on the grounds of the Village. It is our hope to secure funding to renovate our tennis courts in 2017 and revitalize our tennis program.

Education

The 100 Black Men of Jackson, Inc. chapter provides our mentees with tips an information to help them succeed in school.

The 100 Black Men of America, Inc. works with corporate sponsors to deliver educational support services and unique learning opportunities that assist youth in achieving their educational goals. The 100’s education initiatives inspire confidence, create cultural awareness and foster academic leadership.
